Hafjell’s World Championship race was unanimously labelled “intense”. It’s a challenging and technical track and it took its toll on many riders – including GT Factory Racing’s Juniors. Taylor Vernon finished in 40th after a big crash, while Martin Maes, the team’s young Enduro star suffered a puncture finishing in 59th.

Castelli on Il Lombardia weekend and with you on the road

Two hundred forty-seven kilometers up and down the hills, with a total elevation gain of 4,000 meters: a fierce battle is guaranteed, from the start to the finish line. Two past winners of Il Lombardia will be chasing a second victory: Italian Vincenzo Nibali (2015) and Irishman Daniel Martin (2014); unfortunately, due to an injury, the Colombian Esteban Chaves (winner of the 2016 edition) will not be in the bunch.

Chris Froome and Team Sky completes historical Tour – Vuelta double

In wining, Team Sky captain Chris Froome becomes the first rider who won the Vuelta-Tour double since 1978, and only the third ever after Jacques Anquetil (1963) and Bernard Hinault (1978) to win the French and Spanish Grand Tours in the same year.

The Team Sky leader has now won five Grand Tours within the last five years.
