Venge. More Bike Than Aero.		MILAN - SAN REMO Alternatively called "La Primavera" (springtime) or "La Classicissima" (the ultimate classic), Milan-San Remo is often a day for the sprinters, but it finishes with no ordinary sprint. And, before the sprint can be contested, riders must cover nearly 300 frequently windy kilometers. The Venge is the bike perfectly suited to the job, with its aerodynamic design saving precious energy over the 6-7 hour race toward the finish, and allowing the rider to reach top speed in the closing meters. The S-Works + McLaren Venge won its professional race debut at Milan-San Remo in 2011. This year's edition took place on Sunday, March 17th. It was won by German Gerald Ciolek.
Tarmac. Nothing Is Lighter and Stiffer.		TOUR OF FLANDERS "Looking back, you get a bit nostalgic. From a competitive point of view, Flanders was one of the most horrible races to ride but one of the greatest races to win." —the legendary Sean Kelly The Flanders course is one of the most diverse and demanding on the calendar. It's long (over 250km), twisting and turning, includes both good roads and bad, and features a series of very steep climbs, some with cobblestone surfaces and gradients approaching 20%. The ideal bike for "de Ronde" must be as dynamic as the race course itself: light but not fragile, stiff but not punishing, responsive but not twitchy. The Tarmac has proven to have all these qualities, winning an incredible FIVE consecutive Tours of Flanders, 2008-2012. Specialized will be riding for number six on Sunday, March 31st. Tom Boonen will start the race as the defending champion.
Roubaix. Bolj tekoče je hitrejše.		PARIS - ROUBAIX Called the “Queen of the Classics” and the “Hell of the North”, Paris-Roubaix is the race that many pros consider the toughest day in cycling. Covering over 250 kilometers, the course is defined by the 50-plus km of cobblestone sectors, or pavé, many of which are old farm roads that dot the stark landscape of northern France. The stone surfaces are irregular, jagged, and bone-shaking. The right bike for Paris-Roubaix (or any long ride on rough roads) must be supple yet efficient, track well in a straight line but remain responsive, and damp vibration without deadening road feel. The Roubaix bike has dominated its namesake race, winning four of the last five editions, proving that smoother is faster. The 2013 Paris-Roubaix will take place on Sunday, April 7th. Tom Boonen will vie for the undisputed title of "King of the Cobbles" as he tries for a record 5th victory.
