Team Direct Energie had a special support for the “Queen of the Classics.” Riders have to overcome 252 km on their way from Paris to Roubaix, 53 km of them were cobbles. Team Direct Energie support:
- 23 staff members on the field,
- 9 technical assistance cars,
- 50 spare wheels spread in the assistance cars.

Team Direct Energie riders have been using tubulars in width 28, specifically developed by Hutchinson’s “Service course” to deal with the hard conditions of Paris-Roubaix’s route: cobbles, muddy sides, bad roads…

- Depending on the roads, Tubulars and Sector 28 tires were used on the spare wheels, in case of punctures.
- Personalized pressure guide provided the cyclists the best performances they could get from the Hutchinson products.
- Pressures have been noted down before and after the race to study the behavior of the tubulars and the pressure loss in race.
- Cyclists appreciated the comfort, the road handling and the reliability of the Hutchinson tubulars.
